How to Rip Gran Turismo 4 to a DVD5 Disc

However, there is a way to rip the game to a DVD5 disc using a tool called Gt4 Dvd5 V1 02 Ripkit Pss.rar. This tool removes some of the unnecessary files and compresses the audio and video files to fit on a single-layer DVD. Here are the steps to use this tool:

Download Gt4 Dvd5 V1 02 Ripkit Pss.rar from this link[^1^] and extract it to a folder on your hard drive.
Insert your original Gran Turismo 4 disc into your DVD drive and copy all the files to a folder on your hard drive. You can use any DVD ripping software for this step.
Run GT4_DVD5_RipKit.exe from the folder where you extracted Gt4 Dvd5 V1 02 Ripkit Pss.rar. Select your GT4 folder as the source and click Start. The tool will patch and compress the files and create a new folder called GT4_DVD5.
Download CDVDGEN from this link and install it on your computer.
Run CDVDGEN and click on Volume. Enter GT4 as the Volume Name and SCES_517.19 as the System ID (or SCUS_973.28 if you have the NTSC version). Click OK.
Next click on the Directory button. Using your GT4_DVD5 folder drag the files IN THE ORDER BELOW from the folder in to the main window of CDVDGEN:

When you've done that, click on File and Export IML File. Save the file in your GT4_DVD5 folder as GT4.IML and close CDVDGEN (You don't need to save anything else).
Download IMGBURN from this link and install it on your computer.
Run IMGBURN and select Write Image File to Disc. Browse for GT4.IML in your GT4_DVD5 folder and select it as the source file. Insert a blank DVD-R or DVD+R disc into your DVD burner and select it as the destination. Click Write and wait for the process to finish.
You now have a DVD5 copy of Gran Turismo 4 that you can play on your modded PS2 console or emulator. Enjoy!
Note: This rip kit removes some of the languages, music tracks, replays, demos, credits, and online features from the original game. If you want to keep them, you will need a dual-layer DVD burner and a different method to copy the game.
