LINE WANGARATTA AT A GLANCE
LINE Wangaratta Inc. is a volunteer-led Not-for-Profit charity that coordinates social inclusion programs and events, aims at connection and support, raises awareness in the community, supports services and businesses to be LGBTQIA+ inclusive and has a vision of change in the north east region.

LINE Wangaratta knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2019, our community group realised that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch LINE Wangaratta.

Connecting the community
LGBTQIA+ CELEBRATION EVENTS
Celebrating the rich diversity in our community.
In 2022 we took the initiative to start larger LGBTQIA+ celebration events with Wangaratta's first ever Pride Gala, an evening of music, drag, comedy, good food and dancing!

In 2023, with support from the Victorian Government and the Rural City of Wangaratta, we held the first ever Pride Fair Day, an all ages celebration event in Wangaratta.

The team at LINE Wangaratta are excited to repeat these events in 2024!
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
One Step at a Time
At LINE Wangaratta, we are dedicated improving the safety of our LGBTQIA+ community. To do this we offer communtiy groups and businesses education on LGBTQIA+ awareness and inclusive practice.

Through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate positive change in our community. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
SOCIAL CONNECTION
We coordinate many projects that aim to connect LGBTQIA+ people and allies across the north-east.
We love our social connection programs! We run peer support programs, regular art and craft afternoons, capacity building workshops, rainbow family events and school holiday programs for young people.

Most programs are held in Wangaratta, but more activities and projects are planned for Benalla, Mansfield, Bright, Myrtleford and Yarrawonga - so check out the 'upcoming events' section to see what is happening across the north-east region.
